Seneca Learning Center Mission – Our mission is to address the educational needs of each student on a personal level.  All students are unique and learn in different ways, but we believe all students are capable of learning.  We are committed to ensuring that all graduates are well equipped with the skills necessary to transition from high school to work or to a post-secondary school with a clear view and plan for their future.

Philosophy – There are three purposes of the Seneca Learning Center.  The first is to help a student re-enroll back into the high school program by recovering missed or lost credits.  The second is to provide an alternative path for a student to complete a high school diploma by successfully meeting graduation requirements at the Learning Center.   The third is the Missouri Options program which enables students to graduate by taking the HiSET exam.  

Admittance – Students wishing to enroll at the Seneca Learning Center must fill out the application form.  After this form is completed and turned in, a meeting will be scheduled with the prospective student and his/her parent/guardian.   At this meeting, the Learning Center staff and High School counselor will discuss the placement and expectations for the student.  If this meets the needs of the student, a contract will be signed and we will create an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP), for the semester/year for each individual student.
